Jeff Newburn was the real estate agent involved in the sale of my waterfront home on Georgian Bay. I have nothing but good things to say about Jeff! I have extensive real estate experience, to the level that over the past 15 years I have either bought or sold more than 15 different properties (all residential), so I have a good baseline from which to judge a real estate agent/broker. As a real estate agent, he has a firm knowledge base of the industry. He showed me how to assess the value of my property and compare to others that were on the market at the time as well as recent sales. He handled the negotiations between myself and the purchaser in a smooth and competent manner in a "soft-sell" manner rather than the aggressive/intimidating manner that I have encountered with other agents. This was done sooooo well that I have remained friends with the purchaser and both sides are happy with the "deal" and more importantly, was how it was handled. Beyond his real estate knowledge, his knowledge in construction was a real plus. He showed me the strengths and weaknesses of the property. He guided me as to which repairs/renovations I should do to increase the value of the property and he was able to show the purchaser what potential changes could be made by the purchaser after closing. I have recommended to several of my friends in the area to consult with Jeff and have recommended that they list their property with Jeff when the time comes to sell. Similarly, I would recommend to someone seeking a property in the area that Jeff would be a valuable agent to represent them.
